I’m Betz White and I design vibrant knit accessories for those who value workmanship and seek the extraordinary. Trained in fashion design and inspired by color and texture, I believe that accessorizing yourself or your home can elevate your mood and attitude.
Small Batch Eco-Throws:
Each cozy throw is designed in my home studio then crafted by my partner, a family-run artisan knitting mill in the USA. I'm thrilled that they are made with an amazing yarn using recycled cotton. In the recycling process, pre-consumer t-shirt fabrics are re-fiberized back into colorful threads, then spun into beautiful cotton blend yarn. The process reduces landfill use and requires no additional cotton dyes or chemicals.
I individually hand craft each piece on Matilda, my slightly temperamental vintage knitting machine. We got to know each other back in design school and have reunited to create luxurious accessories that look amazing and feel fantastic.
More About Betz:
My degree is in Fashion Design from the University of Cincinnati. I worked in the apparel industry for 2 decades designing kids clothing before leaving the corporate world to spend more time with my children and start my own business.
My studio is in Maryland where I live with my husband and two teenaged sons. In addition to Betz White Studio Knits, I design a collection of sewing patterns for bags and accessories. I've written 3 sewing and craft books, appeared on the Martha Stewart show and have been featured in publications such as Where Women Create, Country Living and Stitch Magazine.
